Our kind soldier-friend means “carnival-geek”, not “tech-geek” – Donnie isn’t going to to be much help setting up your router, although he might be exceptionally helpful getting rid of excess vermin or livestock.
And I mean, come on. Death-threats against innocent children, sure – but you could’ve at least looked behind you. That’s just lazy. But will their quick thinking be enough to save Ella and/or Riley? Will our bodycount double, possibly triple so close to the end of the chapter?

I can say, in all sincerity, that I’ve never suffered from having excess livestock.
And as long as we’re playing “I’ve Never”…I’ve never tried to kill a couple children as part of a coverup of illegal activity. No, I’ve only ever done it for the time honored reason: because the voices told me to.
